Description
In double-wall stills, the contents are heated via a water bath located in the interjacket space. This interjacket is fitted with a safety assembly rated for a working pressure of 0.4 bar (safety valve with control pressure gauge). The advantage of these stills is that the raw material does not scorch during heating and does not need to be stirred. Another advantage is the longer service life of the distillation equipment.
Material and design:
The still is made of copper (1.5 mm) with a stainless steel water bath. Hand-hammered stills with 99.9% copper purity. The firebox for solid fuel is always stainless steel. The flue on the firebox is positioned at the rear (130 mm diameter). The equipment's construction can be adapted to your specific requirements by arrangement — we regularly manufacture non-standard variants in terms of drain valve position (left/right), transfer pipe direction (left or right), etc.
Distillation stills can be manufactured as tilting versions or with a DN 50 drain valve.
The maximum fill volume of the still is always 80% of its total capacity.
